Today I helped with the finishing touches on the The Art of Science: Works by the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators show that is currently at the Camas Gallery space at SAA. I painted some pedestals and posted lettering for the show title.

Today I went and posted fliers for the show Through July 28 > The Art of Science: Works by the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators at the local Community College Chemeketa. It was an easy way to spread word of an upcoming show at SAA. I've taken Chemeketa art classes as I am duel enrolled at PSU and Chemeketa.

Today I spent my intern-shift painting another layer over the blue painted dividers walls. Some of the edges were missed and so I spread another layer to tighten up the appearance a bit. I also ran into one of my elementary school teachers who is a gallery guide there her name is Sally Templeman. It was nice to catch up with her and talk about some fond memories from elementary school.

Today I helped with finishing touches on a new show in the AN Bush Gallery. The new show is called Radius 25: Face to Face which is a juried show featuring artists from a 25 mile radius around Salem. I learned some lighting techniques for the show and made sure the peices were level.

Today Catherine helped me create a resume for a job I applied for at PSU. I learned a ton from Catherine about the format and tone. She also helped me with the cover letter and additional questions pertaining to the job. we worked on it for around three hours!

March 20th, 2012

I began working on documentation of the youth artist show that has been in the A.N Bush Gallery for the past couple of months. I used a ladder to capture images of the majority of the young artist's works. Close up photos as well as general display photos were included in the documentation process. I also helped determine what artists SAA represents had full bio's on record as well as images and artist statements (as seen in photo).

For my internship shift today I worked on documentation of the Construct show that was recently dismantled. I took photographs of the majority of the work included in the show and began to edit them using Photoshop.
